Build the Future of Construction AI
Wyre AI is transforming preconstruction with an intelligent platform that uncovers scope gaps, design inconsistencies, and missing requirements before they become costly change orders, delays, and margin erosion. In a $14 trillion global construction industry, poor project data costs an estimated $1.85 trillion annually. Wyre analyzes drawings, specifications, and bid documents in minutes, helping contractors create more complete scopes, build better bid packages, and reduce project risk before construction begins

Our team is composed of visionaries, researchers, and engineers dedicated to pushing the boundaries of AI to develop transformative solutions. Founded by a repeat founder who had previously built Pype and exited successfully to Autodesk. We are committed to using technology and innovation to disrupt the status quo and create the future. About the Role We’re hiring a Preconstruction Manager to serve as our in-house Subject Matter Expert (SME), embedded across Product and Operations. You’ll be the bridge between real-world preconstruction workflows — estimating, bid management, takeoffs, scheduling, and owner/GC coordination — and the AI systems we’re building to automate them. Key Responsibilities Product & AI Validation: Act as the ground-truth SME for our document intelligence and AI products, reviewing outputs for accuracy against real preconstruction standards and practices. Workflow Mapping: Document and translate end-to-end preconstruction workflows into structured requirements for the product team. Domain Expertise on Demand: Serve as the go-to internal expert on construction documents (drawings, specs, addenda, RFIs) and how preconstruction teams interpret and act on them. Customer & Field Voice: Partner with Sales and Customer Success to speak credibly with preconstruction leaders, precon directors, and estimators during the sales cycle and post-sale onboarding. Roadmap Input: Collaborate directly with the Founder and Product team to prioritize features that reflect real preconstruction pain points. Quality & Accuracy Bar: Define what “correct” looks like for AI-generated results and help build evaluation frameworks around that bar. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside engineering, AI, design, and go-to-market teams as the construction-industry anchor in the room. Required Skills & Qualifications Core Preconstruction Expertise 5+ years of hands-on experience in preconstruction, estimating, or construction operations at a GC, CM, or owner’s rep Deep fluency in the preconstruction lifecycle: scoping and bid management, quantity takeoffs, cost estimating, value engineering, and subcontractor buyout Strong command of construction documents — drawings, specifications, addenda, RFIs, and change orders Familiarity with the precon software eco-system. Product & Cross-Functional Fluency Nice to have – Experience partnering with product or technology teams to translate field workflows into software requirements Comfort evaluating AI or software outputs for domain accuracy, even without a technical background Ability to communicate complex construction concepts clearly to engineers, designers, and non-industry stakeholders Soft Skills Ownership mindset — treats the product as their own Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving, founding-stage environment Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences Passion for modernizing how the construction industry works Beyond Technical Skills – What We’re Looking For We’re building more than just software.
