About Us

We are Wyre AI – B2B Startup focused on revolutionizing preconstruction workflows using AI. Our team is composed of visionaries, researchers, and engineers dedicated to pushing the boundaries of AI to develop transformative solutions. Founded by a repeat founder who had previously built Pype and exited successfully to Autodesk. We are committed to using technology and innovation to disrupt the status quo and create the future.

About the Role

Wyre AI is looking for a Civil or Construction Engineering graduate to help build and validate AI-powered construction management software. You will apply your engineering knowledge to review construction documents, understand project scopes, support estimation workflows, and identify discrepancies across drawings and specifications.

Working closely with our product, engineering, and construction experts, you will help ensure that Wyre’s software produces accurate, practical, and reliable results for preconstruction teams.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Document Review and Project Sanitization
•  Review and organize project drawings, specifications, schedules, addenda, and supporting documents to prepare complete and consistent project information for analysis.

•  Perform project sanitization checks to identify duplicate documents, missing sheets, outdated revisions, inconsistent naming, and incomplete information.

•  Identify drawing disciplines, sheet types, specification sections, and document relationships to support accurate classification and processing.

•  Track document revisions and highlight changes that may affect project scope, quantities, materials, or costs.

Scope of Work and Design Review
•  Interpret architectural, structural, civil, and relevant building-services drawings to understand design intent and construction requirements.

•  Help develop and validate trade-specific scope-of-work packages during the design and preconstruction phases.•  Extract scope requirements from drawings, specifications, notes, details, and schedules.

•  Identify scope gaps, overlapping responsibilities, exclusions, and coordination requirements between trades.

•  Document assumptions and questions requiring clarification from senior reviewers or project stakeholders.

Quantity Takeoffs and Estimation Support
•  Assist with quantity takeoffs and preparation or validation of bills of quantities and estimation inputs.•  Review dimensions, counts, areas, volumes, and units of measurement for consistency.

•  Cross-check extracted quantities and material requirements against source documents.

•  Identify missing scope items or document changes that could affect estimates and procurement requirements.

Discrepancy Identification and Validation

•  Identify inconsistencies between drawings and specifications, including conflicting materials, dimensions, quantities, and installation requirements.

•  Cross-check plans, sections, elevations, details, and schedules for missing or conflicting information.

•  Flag potential coordination issues across disciplines for review by experienced team members.

•  Record findings with clear descriptions, document references, and supporting evidence.

•  Help prepare clarification questions and draft requests for information (RFIs).

Software Development Support and Quality Validation

•  Work with product and engineering teams to translate construction workflows into software requirements and test scenarios.

•  Validate AI-generated document extractions, scope packages, quantity outputs, and discrepancy findings against original documents.

•  Prepare and review labeled construction examples and reference datasets to improve software accuracy.

•  Test new features using representative project documents and report defects with clear steps, expected results, and supporting examples.

•  Participate in regression testing to confirm that product updates maintain accuracy and usability.

•  Suggest improvements that make the software more useful and intuitive for estimators, preconstruction teams, and project managers.

Qualifications

•  Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering, preferably from IIT, NIT, BITS or other Tier 1 engineering colleges.

•  Fresh graduates are welcome; relevant internships or academic projects are an advantage.

•  Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, engineering drawings, and specifications.

•  Familiarity with quantity takeoffs, estimation fundamentals, and scope-of-work preparation.

•  Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving.

•  Ability to document findings clearly and collaborate with technical and nontechnical teams.

•  Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn construction software and AI-assisted tools.

Preferred Skills

•  Exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar drawing-review and estimation tools.

•  Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination, BIM concepts, or construction document management.

•  Interest in software testing, data validation, and applying AI to construction workflows.

•  Academic or internship experience reviewing drawings, preparing estimates, or identifying design discrepancies.
