About Us
We are Wyre AI – B2B Startup focused on revolutionizing preconstruction workflows using AI. Our team is composed of visionaries, researchers, and engineers dedicated to pushing the boundaries of AI to develop transformative solutions. Founded by a repeat founder who had previously built Pype and exited successfully to Autodesk. We are committed to using technology and innovation to disrupt the status quo and create the future.
About the Role
We are looking for a Product Designer (UI/UX) to own the end-to-end experience of a document- and data-heavy B2B SaaS platform. You will design interfaces where a single screen may hold a 400-page specification, an AI-generated finding, its source citation, and the decision a user has to make in the next thirty seconds — and you will make that feel obvious. You will translate operationally complex construction workflows into simple, dependable product surfaces, and shape how our different ICPs experience one coherent product. This is a high-ownership role on a small team: you will help establish the design function, the design system, and the standard of craft as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
Product Discovery & User Research
- Own end-to-end product design across discovery, journey mapping, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, usability testing, design validation, and polished production interfaces.
- Partner with SMEs, product, engineering, sales, and marketing to understand construction workflows and constraints, synthesize user insights, and turn ambiguous problems into clear, actionable design decisions.
Designing Document- and Data-Heavy Workflows
- Design intuitive experiences for dense, high-volume content, including document and drawing viewers, annotations, comparisons, redlines, review queues, tables, dashboards, filtering, search, and bulk actions.
- Design transparent and trustworthy AI-assisted review experiences with confidence indicators, citations, source traceability, and human-in-the-loop review, while reducing cognitive load in workflows where accuracy and auditability matter.
Designing Across Multiple ICPs
- Design one coherent product for distinct customer profiles, accounting for different levels of technical fluency, device contexts, permissions, terminology, and time pressure.
- Build role- and persona-aware experiences with shared foundations and tailored defaults, while balancing segment-specific needs with overall platform consistency.
UI Design, Prototyping & Design Systems
- Translate research and product requirements into clear, accessible, high-fidelity interfaces and prototypes that communicate behavior, edge cases, and interaction details.
- Establish and evolve a scalable design system of components, tokens, patterns, and guidelines, while deliberately designing empty, loading, partial, error, and failure states.
Delivery, Quality & Outcomes
- Prepare detailed specifications and responsive behavior for engineering handoff, review implementations, and close visual, interaction, and accessibility gaps before release.
- Use adoption, funnels, drop-offs, task completion, and error data to evaluate shipped experiences, drive iteration, and take ownership of measurable product outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 4–7 years designing B2B SaaS, enterprise, or operationally complex workflow products, with at least one product owned end-to-end from discovery through launch and iteration
- A strong portfolio with two or three deep case studies showing problem framing, information architecture, interaction design, visual craft, and measurable outcomes
- Demonstrated experience with data-dense and document-heavy interfaces — large tables, dashboards, document or media viewers, complex filtering, or review and approval workflows
- Experience designing for more than one distinct user type or ICP within a single product, including users who are not tech-native
- Strong user-centered design fundamentals: research, journey mapping, information architecture, interaction design, and usability testing
- Advanced Figma proficiency — components, variables and tokens, auto layout, prototyping, and shared libraries
- Experience building or materially contributing to a design system used by more than one designer or team
- Comfort with product analytics — funnels, drop-off analysis, retention or task-completion metrics — to validate design decisions
- Working knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards, and modern web application constraints
- Practical use of AI tools across the design process, from research synthesis to rapid prototyping and asset generation
- Sound independent design judgment with incomplete inputs, and excellent communication that aligns stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Construction, AEC, or adjacent domain experience
- Experience designing AI products, copilots, or human-in-the-loop review workflows
- Understanding of front-end technologies, component libraries, and implementation tradeoffs
- Experience designing field or on-site experiences for tablet and mobile, including offline and low-connectivity constraints
Beyond Technical Skills – What We’re Looking For
Startup Readiness & Ownership
- Bias for action: You move from ambiguity to testable concepts and learn quickly
- Comfort with ambiguity: You create clarity while requirements and priorities are still evolving
- Ownership mindset: You care about the full shipped experience, not only the design file
- Resourcefulness: You find the right fidelity, method, and tool for the decision at hand
Domain Curiosity
- Willingness to learn the domain deeply — drawings, specifications, and the way a project actually gets built
- Respect for expert users: you design for how they work today before you ask them to work differently
- Interest in the messy operational reality behind the interface, not just the interface
Collaboration & Communication
- Cross-functional comfort: You work closely with product, engineering, customers, and founders
- Clear communicator: You make complex workflows and design rationale easy to understand
- Feedback culture fit: You seek critique early and give thoughtful feedback without ego
Startup Cultural Fit
- Mission-driven: You care about improving how the construction industry works through technology
- No big-company baggage: You shape the brief, process, and solution as the team moves fast
- Flexible work style: Especially if remote, you communicate proactively and collaborate reliably
